Happy Things:
- Actually working on my novel
- Having my sister confide in me
- Recreating my favorite pizza from a local shoppe (cream cheese, pesto, pepperoni, sausage, green onions, cashews and angel hair pasta - ohh... it works)
- Spending time with old friends
- Having more friends coming back at the end of the month from being abroad
- Finding out that while I do suck at living alone (my roommate is out of town for two weeks) I'm not nearly as bad/incapable as I previously thought.
- San Diego this weekend, Arizona the next (woah, family!)
- Planting an herb garden on my patio (cilantro, dill, basil, oregano, rosemary, mint)
- Gardening at Bradley's house (icky bugs aside) - lettuce, tomatoes, corn, bell peppers, cucumbers, onions, carrots
-Perfect, sunny weather
-Tickets to Die Walküre (Wagner) with
PLACIDO DOMINGO in the starring role. (One of the benefits of living near a cultural mecca.)
Frustrating/Annoying Things:
- The Great Teacher Job Search: There are currently NO jobs to apply for in SoCal. None posted, none listed. How frustrating. It's difficult to be proactive when there are NO JOBS.
- Arizona school districts that make it very time consuming to apply to their jobs
- Life decisions: The big, where do I want to live? Or really, where will I live based on who hires me? California? Arizona? California?
- Kindergarteners that tell me they can't write their name when HELLO, you wrote it for me yesterday.
- Kindergarteners that repeatedly sniff dry erase markers. "I wasn't doing that!" Sorry sweetie, but you got blue marker up your nose, how else would it get there?
Good thing the Happy Things outweigh the other list.
YES.
