Today was a slap in the face from reality. 
I received a call from a customer at approximately 10:15am this morning saying that he found, out of his 60 wedding invitations, about 44 of them were flawed. ouch. I wont go into details, but it was my fault for not being more careful and taking extra time to make sure things were perfect. I had to redo all the invitations today. I cost my boss a good amount of money both in my time and in the materials I had wasted. Lets just say I feel pretty low about the whole thing but I did learn my lesson. I will never settle for anything that I don't think is as perfect as it can be to give to a customer. My boss also mentioned (in a very nice way) that before I worked there her company was known to always produce flawless work. 
There goes my chance of asking for a raise.
