Feeding the snake, so posting something long overdue.
A month or so ago, I had a dream. I had been watching Primeval, which is a show about time portals appearing and creatures from the past (and future) coming through.
My dream mixed in other TV shows as well, but a major part of the dream involved me finding a small injured dinosaur and nursing it back to health, and then taking it back through the portal to its home time. Where it ran around a while before walking into the mouth of a giant toad (think Jabba the Hut's ancestor) and being eaten.
When I awoke, I realized that it had been a metaphor for some of my money worries.
I have been angsting about spending $2 on a cup of iced coffee, waiting for a $5 coupon to make a purchase, generally fighting to save a dollar here or there. And then a giant toad lights the check engine light and eats all that and more. And I know there are bigger dinosaurs out there waiting to eat the toad.
I know it's the cycle of life and all, but it's still annoying.
