when beggars die?

Oh, but if you have binoculars of any sort, and even if you're in a city, go out and see Comet 17P/Holmes.
The P means it's a returning comet, and 17 means it was the 17th confirmed returning comet. So, it's old. It turns out that it's never that close to the sun or that far away, and it's usually been very faint. But something happened to cause it to erupt, something exposed fresh surface. So now it's an easy naked-eye object, high in the sky at night. It has no tail at this point and probably won't have much of one since it's far from the sun, and it'd be pointing pretty much away from us anyhow. So, it's a very odd looking comet for one so bright.

or google 17P/Holmes for more photos and finder charts.
