Epic Concert Experiences!!!

May 07, 2011 16:57

In these past two months I have had the best concert experiences of my entire life. Last month Apocaylptica and on May 5, 2011 I got to see RED. My ears are still ringing from the RED concert :p I have been HUGE fans of these two bands for as long as I can remember. A good friend of mine introduced me to Apocaylptica and I was lucky enough to come across RED's first cd at a Walmart.

I saw Apocaylptica at The House of Rock in Corpus Christi, TX. It was such a great feeling to know that I was going to see such an incredible band. To be honest I was still so shocked that they were coming to a place like Corpus Christi, I mean such a big band as them seemed more likely to play in huge city's in TX. Thank God that they came to Corpus Christi anyway because its more easier to travel there for concerts than any other place. Once they got on stage it was absolutely incredible. It seemed so impossible to describe what it was like to see them standing there so close. Faces that I once was only able to view in videos on youtube and band photos. Then to make that nameless feeling burst ten fold by the beautiful sound of their cellos. It was complete bliss. Hearing them live was so beautiful, I was only able to stare in awe as they preformed. It took forever for them to come out when the concert was over, though I don't blame them it cannot be pleasant to being swamped by fans. I went with my really good friend Alexis and we were hanging out at their after party and thats when they started showing up and walking around like nothing...like they werent famous. I was squealing with delight silently to myself. In the end I was able to get their autographs on a drawing I did of them. It was really fun and amazing. I would love to see them live again. Hopefully they will come down again but lord knows if that could ever happen. This is band that has only come to the U.S. a few times let alone come this far down. This concert experience will be one that I wont forget.

I love RED and I really mean LOVE!!!! :D

I have been a huge fan since their first cd came out. I have seen them live for the first time on January 16, 2010 as a Christmas gift from my best buddy Alexis. It was spectacular. Now a year later I was able to see them for a second time. I was so damn happy when I noticed that they were coming to Corpus. This time it was completely different from the first time I went to a RED concert. I purchased two special tickets ( For Alexis and I) which allow us to actually meet and hang out with the band on their tour bus plus they will do a private performance for you on the bus. I was like Holy F@*K! I was so freaking excited that I was jumping up and down like a psycho person. Upon arriving Alexis and I were just waiting as we were seeing RED do their sound check inside the venue long before the actual concert even started. As the time passed the more I grew excited and nervous then it was finally time to go inside the tour bus. Oh, I didn't mention that RED only offers six tickets that allow you to meet and hang out with them. What made this encounter more mindblowing was that it turned out that I was the only one who purchased tickets. So it ended up being only my friend and I on the bus with the band. I was so scared and nervous to have that much attention being put directly on us. I was so stunned I couldnt even think of anything to say. The inside of the tour bus looked so cool and it was so clean and its hard to describe since I had tons of emotions going threw my head. I had never been on a bus like that before so you can picture seeing me looking like a dork admiring the interior decorating. Being that incredibly close to them made me speechless I was still contemplating that this was actually happening. Though they were asking normal questions like "were are you from?" and "What your favorite song?" among many other things. I seriously thought I could have cried but I tried so hard not to which helped. Thank god that my friend wasnt as stunned as me because she was able to keep up a conversation with them. I started to get fidgety when I noticed that the lead singer Michael was staring at my feet. I was wearing my custom shoes that I made with their portraits. I was filled with pride when I noticed one of them noticing my shoes but I was also embarrassed. When I finally got the courage to mention the shoes they really liked them. My friend even mentioned to them while they were looking at my shoes that I made a video making the shoes and that made them say something I didn't expect at all. The guitarist Anthony was like "Those are the youtube shoes!"

I had always wished that they could see my video. Though I had never thought that it could ever actually happen. Then Anthony made that comment and made me want to cry even more. Seeing the whole band talk amongst each other about watching the video awhile back really made me beyond happy. I was so shocked that they had seen my video and they seemed equally amazed that they met the person who made the video. Considering I think that I was the only one who has made a video making fanart of them. The whole entire experience was phenomenal. It was heartbreaking when it ended.

One thing is for sure is if they ever come down again I really want to buy those special tickets again.
