*Sigh* What a sad day I had. After phoning Bournemouth and finding that the Television course is in fact full, and that UCAS made a mistake, so I can't do that next year *sniff*. And not really wanting to do Art Foundation but maybe doing it in Bournemouth so I can forge a life there while I know someone but that's a bit extreme... oooh, sooo down... thankyou for the hug Charlie!
After college I walked across town, nearly home, with Sarah, coz she had to do dog walking. When we got to the person's house they were sitting outside, locked out, so we had to wait around a bit. Then Got dog, walked to park, froze in the oh so very chilly wind... though was rather cheered by the crazy dogs everywhere. Small ones, fat ones, tall ones, yappy ones, fluffy ones, angry ones, playful ones, unbelievably cute ones - they were fantastic! (Feeling a little better at this point) Then I went home and had some thinking time on my short walk, just facing facts and feeling sad about it. Tried to distract myself with new jeans and dinner, which worked to an extent, but alas when one feels down it takes a lot to drag yourself back up.
Right now I'm on top of the World!!! Having been gloriously dragged back up, partly thanks to self as I made the effort to phone uncle Andy, and I wasn't even that scared... maybe the Martini helped slightly in that department. But hey, it turned out he was off filming in Wales, so my aunty answered the phone instead. Now I've only met her once, quite a while ago too, but we started chatting about things. Wales for instance... Andy filming there at her parents' house and me having been there recently and Robbie being from there, all tied together nicely. Then I mentioned seeing them on Friday and she got all excited and said how lovely it would be and that Andy will be back on Thursday so he'll be around and she'll be working but I could come to her office or see her when she finishes and that my cousin Georgia is coming down from Scotland on Friday night and how it would be lovely if we could get together, even Robbie too! Woo! And then, oh the excitement. I picked up on the mention of seeing her at her office as she's a producer for BBC news and she asked if I had ever been to BBC Television Centre? "No" I said. "Well then," she said "maybe Andy and I could give you a little tour, just show you where the news is filmed and Watchdog is made." YES!!! Oh joy! I so wanted to go there for so long, I'm so excited now! And hopefully I can get some work experience with her or Andy resulting from this trip and life will be rich and fantastic! Oh she's so nice, and I've been so awful at keeping in contact, I'd really like to make more of an effort in future. Aah, that warm content feeling has returned and I'm back to my normal self, yey.
