Tsumugi Aoba fell in love with So Sakura, who attended the same high school. They both shared an interest in music. Their relationship got deeper and deeper, but, suddenly, Sakura said goodbye to her without giving a reason for their break-up and he disappeared.
Eight years later, Aoba is now in Tokyo and works part-time at a large CD music store. She is surrounded by music she likes. One day, she happens to see Sakura. She wants to talk to him, but she realizes that he has lost his hearing. (MDL-2022)
Being a fan of everything related to SL, I had this drama in my TBW list as soon as the plot was released. I thought I would wait till a couple of episodes were released but that clip in Twitter made me picked it up earlier than I thought.
The drama in general + the characters is very sweet and human, and it is impossible to not like them all by the end of the drama. Nevertheless, I think the love triangle at first was totally unnecessary. I wish the Minato-Tsumugi was removed; it took too long and it made Minato look like a guy with a martyr complex, and Tsumugi as someone who couldn't make up her mind. So besides the 1st episode, it was a bit lackluster in the following 3 or 4 (although never bad... it still managed to made me teary-eyed a couple of times). I did love the characterization of Nana (or maybe Kaho is just too good... same as Kazama, bless him).
I adored the friendship between Minato and Sou... that scene were he texts him "Sou!" was so heartwarming. I wish Minato learned JSL as well.
One of the best dramas this season. I did not mind the ignorant comments of the screenwriter; I understand why people would be mad, but till the point of dropping the drama? Nah, ridiculous.
**My rating: 8.5/10**
