A lovely Sunday for football

I went watching Internacional against Coritiba today, for the Brazilian Football Championship. Boy, was that a good match to watch. I mean, if you were like me and supported Internacional, because the match wasn't spetacular skillwise (is that even a word?!), but I love supporting my team and I love it when it wins. By 3 goals! ^_^
Going to the stadium is such a party. And a stress relief since you can swear out loud, curse the referee for every single foul he doesn't whistle and no one will look at you funny.
And today the day was wonderful for football: it was sunny with no clouds whatsoever and quite warm for a winter day in Southern Brazil.
Summing it up: It was a blast!

It was the 6th match I went watching this year. I had gone to the stadium a couple of times before, but we lost every single one of them so I never went again. I thought I was jinxed or something. The world of football revolves around me, right? Right?? Yeah... Anyway, my mom convinced me about going to a match this year since women had free entrance as it was March 8th. I went, we won, so I kept going. Today was my 5th win. The other match I went was a draw. I'm still invict! =P

I took a few pictures during 1st half (2nd half is always too dark to take pictures with my camera. Bugger.), I'll post them soon. See below.

There's another match on Wednesday. I didn't miss a single match for this competition in our stadium yet, but I think I'm not going to this one even 'though I really want to now. Should I bang my head against the wall for not buying advance and cheaper tickets?

By the way, I finally made myself an icon with one of my favorite players from Inter: Sorondo. What a defender! He's got everything a great defender needs and a plus: huge blue eyes that makes me melt. ^_~ Let alone being Uruguayan and over 6ft tall. XD

Talking about icons, I'm making tons. About something that's been over for a week. You guessed right if you said Euro 2008. But I can't help it. Even if no one cares to look at them when they're finally ready, at least I'm having fun making them.

So, here are some pictures:

See the tall man in the sun? Sorondo. My camera is drawn to him, I can't help it. Half my pictures show him. It's a shame (or is it a blessing?) my camera doesn't have better zooming, I'd have pretty close-ups.

I'll go there one day. They sing and chant and make noise the whole match. Actually, they don't watch the match, they're only there to support. I love singing along with their little songs.

And the whole album:

Internacional 3x0 Coritiba
