I think that I am getting used to Konoha.
And half-used to talking to other people.
Today I went out to buy some more anime and some Pocky for myself while feeling reluctant to do so. Of course, I received the usual bout of people, and of course I was nervous had to converse. What surprised me though was that I recognized a few of them as frightened spectators from the match (although I try, I can't exactly erase faces of fear from my mind). Why are they so open to me? They noticed that arm of sand that day and were afraid...why are they so social? Regardless, I went on my way. The socializing is beginning to get more tolerable, like I said earlier...Temari, we should go get fried ice cream again so that you can help me improve...
Prince of Tennis is making itself to be worth my time. And the shopkeeper insisted that I get a manga called Shaman King (he kindly gave the first few volumes as a present for me becoming Kazekage, something that I probably will get tired of sometime). I went on my way back to the apartment and on the way, got stormed by children (which I handled more efficiently than the adults from before, but I was still quite...shall we say on the edge?). One gave me two boxes of strawberry and chocolate pocky each. Nervous, I did the only thing I could think of: Ithanked her. In which her eyes brimmed with tears and she thanked me for acknowledging her. Albeit confused, I went back to the apartment and bit on a stick of strawberry pocky.
That was very awkward. Why did she thank me? I should be thanking her for donating such a gift and sparing me a trip to the shop. Acknowledgement is not hard to get. She must receive some from her parents, or her teammates...perhaps she does not. Perhaps I "made her day" with that comment...
I might be a lot busier in the next few days seeing as 1) my cousin's gone, so I have to focus on my work and my musical studies and getting to arranging my plans for starting the school's first unofficial tennis team and 2)...I dunno. But I definitely will have time, just less.
And even less during the school year.
