For pretty much the first time, I'm reading about global warming, and learning alot. I don't live under a rock; i know it's been a hot topic for the past few years, but i've never really paid attention. i assumed that by recycling and trying not to use my car too much, i was doing my part. But it's our future and it's going to affect everybody, so i think it's important for everyone to at least be educated on what it's all about. I think it really hit home when I read how many places are not even going to exist in a few years. It's predicted that by 2100, all of South Beach will be underwater. I'll have to put on my scuba gear just to pass by my old apartment on Jefferson Ave. It's crazy to think, but it also makes me wonder how accurate all of this actually is. I mean, are these predictions being made by the same scientists who said that this year was supposed to be the worst hurricane season yet? Because I didn't see more than a tropical storm. I wonder how real this actually is, or if it's a big crock of shit created just to stir people up.
