what a week!
well... i've had a pretty damn good week i'd say...
but it wasn't free, as i am completely broke... but alas, that is my life... you get used to it after a while.
so, lets start @ tuesday... tuesday i took Kristien downtown... we did the whole eaton center thing and that was cool... she did some shopping and whatnot. then we headed over to the Sky Dome (fuck you rogers center) for the Jays game... John's dad got a whole skybox worth of free tickets, so we decided to use them... so we get to the dome and meet up with bronwyn, eric and brendan and then we headed inside... upon entering, we were bombarded with babies, baseball, and food... there was an abundance of all of these things haha. it would seem as though a large portion of the Scott family decided to all have babies at once, so there were like 3 or 4 babies in the skybox with us haha. but the game was good... and there was tons of food (too much) and beers also... unfortunately though, we weren't informed that what we were eating/drinking wasn't paid for... so there was an $800 tab after the game haha so that still needs to be paid lol
anyways, then comes wednesday... for some reason, i'm drawing a blank on wednesday... i think it involves sleeping in, watching Chicago with Kristien... and then probably just bumming around markham...
then thursday...thursday was another downtown day.... me and Kristien headed downtown to meet STEPH!! I havent seen steph (or any of the seneca people) in a long, LONG time, so it was cool to hang out. we did the queen street thing. then we did the kensington market thing... it was cool, kristien did some shopping, she had a good day, so it's all good. I got the SWEETEST belt buckle in the world... you can put your own pictures in it!!! it's awesome... I have one of our SL promo pics in it right now... i'm planning to print a bunch of pictures off and rotate them... it's pretty cool.
after wandering downtown for a long time... we ended up @ reilly's for the Johnny and the Kick-Ass show. which was awesome... I'm sad they're breaking up. they are a talented band and i think that them+SL would be an awesome show... but ALL HOPE IS NOT LOST! if all goes well, JATKA may, or may not play a show that i'm organizing at the KAthedral for the end of August. which brings me to my next point...
Cynthia (my friend from HMV) is going to the Kathedral later on today to book the place for August 28th... so once it's booked... it's going to be an awesome show. Silver Lyning, Johnny and the Kickass a band including Mike Caramaroudis (whom most of you don't know) and a band fronted by Mike Kopko (who a large portion of you also don't know). also a special acoustic performance by none other than Mikey Lee!!
so basically it's gonna be a huge night, and anyone who's available should be there.
also, AUGUST 13TH @ Latchem HALL!!! this show is also gonna be awesome... since we haven't played in a while, we've been bottling up a whole shitload of excellence to unleash on the stage... so prepare for that.
so tomorrow i should be going to Niagara Falls with Kristien, Ready and dave, that should be fun... kristien really wanted to see the falls... so that should be good. i havent been there in a long time... so it'll be cool.
then sunday i'm working which blows goats, but whatever, then it's off to fucking alaska... with NO warped tour... but whatever, you can't win them all right?
anyways, it's almost 5 in the morning... so im going to sleep
