What do *you* think it is? I think the artist found just what wanted to come out of the redwood.

This studio is run by an elderly husband and wife team, but I didn't get to talk to the husband, who is the artist (of all or some, I'm not sure - the wife was really crabby and not helpful). From the literature in their studio, they appear to be quite religious, of a Christian bent, but it will take another visit back to learn more about his art.
That angel has really captured my heart, and so has the pelican.
