1. Vodka with a splash of Peppermint Schnapps.
2. Cucumbers and Feta (going on for a while now)
3. Juicers
4. LUSH HAIR CARE!
Okay if anybody knows me..they know I do NOT wear my hair down but I also dye the heck out of it.
The first lush hair care product i used was the Henna. I la la love it. Partially because it's not permanent so in like 6 months or so when it grows out more i can bleach my hair platinum Blonde (yup got the urge again) and also it makes my hair so silky soft that the first week after I Henna I don't need to condition it! (NO JOKE)
The next hair care product I got was a shampoo bar which i liked because of how eco friendly it was without packaging or many preservatives. I use Squeaky Green which has completely zapped any dandruff I have with the rosemary, tee tree oil and nettle. It also smells really fresh.
I met some girls from another store who started telling me about how great the liquid shampoo's are...That I should keep using Squeaky but also add some liquid shampoo and definitely STOP using conditioners from other sources. Most conditioners use Silicone to condition your hair..and yes the silicone makes the hair LOOK shiny but it's actually eating away at the ends of your hair so in effect creates more split ends....which then causes you to have to visit the salon much more often.
Okay. So after I got basically yelled at for using something from CVS I started taking home samples of shampoo's and conditioners.
The first shampoo I tried was Rehab...It cleaned my hair and also kept it shiny and I la la la loved the peppermint scent but it was just too much for my hair...with that I also used Retread the most intensely conditioning conditioner..which i liked..but I still liked my other conditioner better.
Then I tried Daddy-O shampoo a shampoo for blondes but i just loved the smell and look of it (it's purple) and will definitely use it if i do go blonde...it brightened the color of my hair but I just didn't like it very much and with that i tried Veganese conditioner...WHICH I've fallen head over heals in love with! I love citrus and it has loads of citrus which actually helps the hair folicle flatten on itself (think of when you eat pineapple and you pucker because it's so tart..citrus tightens the skin and also brightens it..so also it tightens the hair follicle) okay so anywho i liked it the first time.
Then i talked to a girl at lush who's hair I absolutely adored and asked her what her hair regime was....She used BIG our shampoo that makes flat hair look HUGE! and mixed that with a bit of Cynthia Sylvia Stout which is used to create shine (has beer in it ) and to weigh down fluffy hair.
It seemed like an odd combo to me..but I always believed this girl had naturally thick hair.
I tried the combo and the next day....BAM bit beautiful hair! I couldn't believe it! I got compliments all day long at work about how shiny my hair was...and also it really helped darken the henna a bit (I'll have to ask someone about that)
I used the combo again tonight (they are nice to let me keep takings samples home) and used a bit more Sylvia then before and it's not quite as big..but definitely feels good and is super shiny...I also used Veganese again and it's official..i love it.
Tomorrow I'm going to actually purchase these products...One thing more I want to mention is how BIG works It's actually more of a sudsy sea salt you rub into your hair. It has Citrus *neroli oil which also works wonders for the scar and stretch mark healing on the skin* (for shine) Tooth Wracked Seaweed which strengthens the hair by adding nutrients to it *Seaweed is much more vitamin rich than anything that grows on land and also works wonders for moisturizing the skin* and *********DRUMROOOOOLLLLLLL************SEA SALT! Sea salt separates the hair to make it super big and fluffy.
Why you add the Cynthia Sylvia Stout is it moisturizes the hair a bit more (the salt can be pretty damn intense for the hair) and why that is is because there is yeast in the shampoo which helps strengthen the hair more..and again the beer(stout) creates even more shine!
I can't tell you yet why I love veganese with this combo..I don't quite know myself..I will continue to research! But, for my birthday I'm going to purchase this amazing regime!
My skin care stuff...has yet to be sorted out since I have the most sensitive skin in the work..Realistically how to avoid wrinkles is to moisturize and exfoliate once a week....Also of course SPF (shea butter is a natural skin protectant from the sun)...Why you need to exfoliate is to get dead skin cells off your face so your skin can produce fresh new ones.
It takes 2 week for any skin care regiment to really take to ones skin..I'm definitely struggling to find something but I've got two moisturizers that I love. Paradise regained (green tea and pineapple) and a Men's moisturizer Cosmetic Lad (aloe vera and Marigold and chamomile) marigold and chamomile calms down redness which makes me smile.
Anywho had to share somewhere my intense excitement. Another note if you decide to go natural with your hair care there is going to be about a week of adjustment for your hair...When we use commercial hair products our hair is used to the processed chemicals and silicones..so when the hairs deprived it may feel a bit out of sorts...Like I said I actually like wearing my hair down now..and i can beat the hell out of it with curling irons and blow dryers and it takes it much better. There is a reason BIG is a best seller :)
