new poem

Sweet nectar,
Life so glorious,
The view spectacular,
Oh so beautiful,
Dripping down my lips,
Falling from my cheeks,
Appearance so bleak,
Methodically deceiving,
Pouring quickly,
Or drizzling moderated,
A slash of light,
A deafening roar,
Dropped from the sky,
Gathered upon the ground,
Breathing through the trees,
Dancing on the leaves,
Flying among the stars,
Random patterns and loop de loops,
Whispering,
Screaming,
Whirling in a vortex of confusion,
The branches may fall,
The light fade away,
Moon shrouded in fear,
Sun shielded by gloom,
A smile,
Simple wonderful smile,
Who could possess it but me?
Everyone around runs,
Stuck in place I dare not move,
Drenched in life force,
Dripping of sky tears,
Hair soaked and visibility askew,
I walk through the chaotic order,
Only to return,
Only to wait,
The next passing,
The next darkened cloud,
I, first to run to the storm, am free.
