Are sensitive children more sensitive to loud noises?
Ivy gets really unnerved in very loud and busy social settings. I don't mean a party, she loves parties, but for example, my mom took her to their church fish fry that was 600 people in a room all loudly talking and eating.
And just now, I went to use the blender. She asked me if I could turn it down, I said now. When I turned it back on, she started sobbing and crying out 'I don't like that noise!!" It broke my heart.
She's not hyper-sensitive, necessarily. She's all girl, and her feelings are of a sensitive nature. I just didn't know if the noises thing was common..
