Cleaning up the apartment.

Aug 26, 2006 17:11

This week has seen a complete removal of almost everything in the closets, including knick-knacks, candles, rocks, old school projects, old watches, a dvd player, an old stereo receiver, dream catchers, coins, books, clothing, useless electronic junk and tons of paper and a whole lot more. In fact, the closet and the apartment is so emptied out, I can hear slight tinny echos in the apartment.

All of this cleaning feels good. My apartment smells clean. My apartment is SIMPLE. It looks like an ADULT lives here instead of some crazy collector of things that really serve no purpose other than to clutter the space. But it's also a way to start with a blank canvas, painting, really good pieces of art, my photographs even.

I feel comfortable. Space is open and a lot of things that just were being held on to for the sake of it are gone.

The kitchen and my office, while relatively uncluttered still have their own pieces of junk that need to go too.
