Curious.. Chicago Business (http://www.chicagobusiness.com) reports that the L.A. Police department is putting forth a rather sizable recruitment effort for police officers when the Gay Games comes to Chicago this summer. Apparently the city of Los Angeles must meet it's target officer count of 9,200 sworn officers. They report Chicago has 13,500 sworn officers. Question.. why does Chicago have more officers than Los Angeles?
