New job opportunity
I think sometimes that God does listen to my prayers.... There was a new job position announced yesterday to all inside sales. In a nut shell, this job involves traveling to key industry driver accounts and basically taking a survey (inventory) of all Dodge/Reliance products in these facilities. We can then use it to convert competitor product to ours...and hopefully grow the business. This is a really great opportunity and the experience that I would gain is basically a meal ticket to other avenues of the company. AND I get to travel....all expenses paid (transportation, food, housing). The only bad thing is that this requires 80-90% traveling. Its possible that I wouldnt' be home for a month or so at a time. I'm trying not to think of that as a bad thing, although I will miss my family and friends. And then there is the question of Lucy...I would need to find someone who is willing to take care of her for an entire year. Yes, by the way...this only requires a 1 year committment. It is a promotion, not a huge promotion but one none the less.
I would really appreciate all thoughts regarding this....I'm definitly leaning towards interviewing for it, but there are still a couple of questions.
