In other news, the peasant magic tournament we were going to go to in Springfield didn't work out. I'm a bit frustrated, but the stars were definitely crossed. We were going to split the costs 4 ways on gas and hotel and have a chance to win a Mox Ruby (http://www.findmagiccards.com/Cards/UN/Mox_Ruby.html to see how much the value is). Then one person couldn't make it. Then one person got a surprise pop-quiz. Then the card store didn't have the cards I needed for my deck, even though they are COMMONS! So I have no deck, and we were going to split the costs two ways, which is a lot less attractive than 4. If one of us actually won, then it would pay off. But with the organizer expecting at least 36 people, one does have to somewhat weigh the actual likelihood of winning vs the costs that will be spent for 100% certain. Oh well, I'm sure there are plenty of fun things to do here this weekend. (I know that "read" sarcastic, but it's not meant that way).
