Misfortune shows those who are not really friends. Aristotle

I find many times that I encounter misfortune, I recognize it as my shadow. Something I cannot escape, run from, or prevent. Many of these ideas make it difficult to recognize all the good that I am fortunate to have; all the people who prove their friendship, care, and loyalty to me any time an obstacle comes my way. For all those people, my wonderful friends, outweigh all my misfortunes. Yet, sometimes I take some of the graces in my life for granted. But, yesterday, as I talked to new people and reveled in just how large and lonely this world really could be for me, I became clearly aware that I am luckier than most. True friendship is rare, and I have an abundance of wonderful friends. So for everyone that makes my life a little better and supports me in my endeavors, I thank you. You make my world brighter every day.
