[Yuna has been relatively withdrawn for the past few days. She's had no desire to go out and do anything, save for getting food or water for herself. Even after coming to terms with the fact that Spira has been destroyed, Yuna still can't seem to bounce back to acting as she normally would

So here's your guardian, Yuna, and he looks a little less grumpy as he comes in. HMMMM. LET'S LEAVE A MESSAGE FOR VELD AND/OR VINCENT.
Wait, there's already a new message on the network. He listens to it without hesitation because it was posted with his ID and...]
....
Yuna, what is this?

I apologize. I did not realize I was using your communicator instead of my own. [Better to tell the truth, even if she feels like it was a stupid mistake to make...
Which it was, but that's beside the point.
But hey, Auron! At least she's been smart enough to respond to everything else on her own comm!]

At least he doesn't want to press it. Things are awkward enough as it is. Besides, everything else, besides her pilgrimage, is her concern.
Oh wait-- Sorry. Old habits die hard.
EITHER WAY, he's not going to ask about it.]
Fine.
[He'll go be grumpy over here then.]

It's only because Yuna decides that the silence is more uncomfortable than any potential conversation, that she decides to finally pipe up.]
...Auron?
[Of course, she still has yet to decide exact what she's going to say. Or if it should even be related to what she had originally posted about.]

[Yuna just trails off. She's had people advise her to tell Auron about the feelings she has, and she's also had people tell her to do just the opposite. Even still, Yuna doesn't even know how she could even describe the feelings she has for Auron.
Love? No, it isn't that. Not yet, anyway...but it's something like it.
Yuna stays quiet for a moment, unsure of what to do or say. There is a definite risk to be taken with talking to Auron about this - would he even have anything to say? - but if she says nothing, then it's likely that nothing will be said or done about this. It isn't as if Auron would be the kind of man to take initiative with matters like these.
Yuna may still be shaken by recent events, but unlike the last time, she is very aware of herself and what she is doing. She's just unsure of how to go about it.]
Um.

He's curious about what she wants to say, but he doesn't want it to be obvious. So he leans back in his chair, gaze set somewhere else to avoid staring at her.]
What is it, Yuna?
Reply
This is going to be embarrassing and Yuna is still fairly sure that it isn't her place to do such a thing, but...well. Actions speak louder than words, and Yuna still can't figure out what she'd even want to say to him.
So, Yuna just...gets up and heads over to Auron, gently pulling down his cowl. She hesitates for barely a second before leaning forward to press a soft kiss to Auron's mouth.
This is all so strange to her. Yuna really isn't used to having to be so assertive.]

But...then again, there was no Spira anymore. No Spira meant no Farplane, right? For all Auron knew, he could be alive right then and there.
Maybe it's with that thought, that Auron leans into the kiss. Only a bit. Maybe Yuna would notice, considering how close she was. Maybe she'd see how his head tilted just a little or how his eyes...er eye closes behind his glasses and how part of his back didn't touch the chair anymore.
Maybe he wanted her to see that he wasn't sure what it was going on between them either. But whatever it was, he wanted it.]

This is her second time kissing him. The guardian of High Summoner Braska - her father's guardian. Sir Auron...except he isn't Sir Auron, anymore. Much like how she is no longer Lady Yuna. Ever since their arrival on the Elegante, those titles became meaningless. No longer summoner and guardian, but instead just Auron and Yuna.
She's still trying to wrap her mind around that; no longer being a summoner, no longer having to give her life for the sake of Spira. It's confusing and leaves her feeling more than a little bit uncomfortable, not knowing what's coming next...not knowing how she'll live and die. Simply living in the moment is something that will take some getting used to, but she'll try to adjust.
Perhaps that's why Yuna doesn't pull away from Auron. She presses closer to him, hesitantly letting her hand slide past his shoulder and around to cup the back of his neck. Yuna is inexperienced and she honestly doesn ( ... )

Now, all he could do was atone for the mistakes he had made. For failing to save Jecht and Braska. For failing to save everyone from their terrible fates. It was the least he could do. Protect Yuna with everything that he is. And atone.
Though he's not entirely sure how kissing his best friend's daughter would absolve him. If anything it'd only make the situation about ten times more complicated than it needed to be. But Auron wanted to be selfish. Just this once. He was allowed it once, right?
When her fingers graze his neck, he lets out a soft gasp and he's gotta pull away just a minute. He doesn't want you going there, Yuna. Not til he's completely comfortable with what's going on here. This may or may not happen.]

Why can't she do this right? Everything was so much easier when all she had to do was focus on summoning, sending, and healing.
Yuna doesn't move away from Auron, but she makes a point to avoid looking at him.]
I'm sorry.
[This is like a repeat of the first time she kissed Auron...she really should have used that as an indicator that trying it a second time wouldn't work out, either.]
Reply
Still, when she apologizes, he shakes his head.]
Nothing to apologize for.
[After all, he had kissed her too. Remember?]

So, Yuna just says nothing and rests her head against Auron's shoulder.
This whole situation is so frustrating.]
