Tsuzuki Asato;
Tsuzuki was the very first person to be nice to Rydia when she arrived on the Thor. In her eyes he was nicer than he should have been, considering they were strangers, but for Tsuzuki it was no big deal. This meant a lot to her though and she is especially grateful to him for that. She tries to be very nice to him because he's always nice to her. They're not as close as she'd like for them to be, but she still counts Tsuzuki as a good friend. She even has a nickname for him, something she's never given to any of her other friends.
Jace Beleren;
God only knows what's up with these two. They're currently stuck between "just friends" and "significant other."
Rydia considers Jace to be her best friend. She is very fond of him, perhaps overly so, which is a miracle considering how much of an asshole he is. She doesn't mind him being grumpy in the least, but it does get frustrating at times. They both have strong personalities, strong opinions and won't hesitate to express them. For some inexplicable reason, he brings out both the very best and very worst in her. Currently this realization is quite unsettling to her, but not enough to do something about it.
The reasons she's even attracted to him at all remains a complete mystery, though it could stem from a couple of different things. He reminds her a bit of Kain, a friend from her home world, with some obvious differences in personality. She is utterly fascinated with how enigmatic he is, and she's not trying to figure him out. She doesn't really care to. It would "ruin the surprise" as it were. Perhaps most importantly, though, he makes her laugh, which is quite an accomplishment. She has a strange, rather twisted sense of humor.
Hope Esthiem;
Rydia felt an instant kinship with Hope, simply because he was the first summoner she met on the ship. She feels like he's too sweet to be tied down with his curse, but he's making the most out of his life and she admires him for that. She considers Hope a younger brother. She is very protective of him, but only to an extent. Rydia realizes that Hope can take care of himself, but she wouldn't hesitate to kill someone if she felt like they were a threat to him. To show how much she cares about him, she gave him a Grimoire, an item from her world that allows any person to summon one of her eidolons.
She would never, ever deny him anything. The only other person she can say this about is Jace.
Hit Girl;
Rydia can't stand her. It's very rare that she feels someone deserves to be hurt, but Mindy has made it onto that list. Rydia feels she's a disrespectful, rude little beast, and someone needs to kick her ass and put her in her place. She's nominating herself, and probably biding her time until she can act out on it. Until then she'll basically ignore the fact that she exists; although if she opens her potty mouth to disrespect someone she cares about, she will without a doubt step in and put her back in her place.
Kamui;
Rydia feels Kamui is a rude, sick, demented, sadistic bastard who would slaughter everyone on the ship if he could get away with it.
She's not far from the truth.
He has been civilized to her on a recent occasion. This, and influence from her best friend, allowed her to be more tolerable and receptive of his behavior. She still feels like he's a predator but it doesn't bother her so much anymore. Though if he picks on her she will let him have it.
Karen Minazuki;
Rydia thinks Karen is a very nice girl, even if she is a bit timid. She always seems to show up at the worst possible time though, especially when Rydia has just publicly embarrassed herself. She just wishes they didn't have to use awkward moments as an excuse to engage in conversation or talk to each other.
Momotaros;
Momotaros is a giant child to Rydia. As someone who is a keeper of eidolons, she feels it's her responsibility to keep him in check. She's often seen yelling at him and trying to get him to behave himself - not that it ever works. But she is very fond of him. Though she'd probably never admit it, she admires him a lot, and his zest for life is very contagious. She wishes he were just a tad bit smarter, but not so much that it frustrates her. His childish frame of mind is one of the things that makes him so amusing to her.
Richezza;
Rydia and Richezza have a sibling-like relationship. They banter a bit, and sometimes Richezza does annoy her but underneath it all she is very fond of him. His childishness is amusing to her most of the time, and she will often tease and/or flirt with him just to see his reaction. Richezza, in turn, will snap at her or insult her, but it is always in good fun. Neither of them take this type of thing seriously.
Flandre Scarlet;
Rydia's relationship with Flandre is hard to explain. While on the one hand she's incredibly fond of the innocent, sweet, loli side of her (she frequently refers to her as her "little girl"), she's also experienced the other side of her, and she's not very fond of it. She was marked by Flandre during a battle, and though she blames herself for initiating the fight in the first place, she still doesn't like the fact that it happened, nor is she OK with the end results.
Still, she won't hold a grudge. To her Flandre is still just a child, and as long as she behaves like a child Rydia will continue to love her to death. On the other hand, if she ever goes off the deep end again, she will be there to put her back into her place. It's what friends do, after all.
Remilia Scarlet;
As Flandre's older sister and guardian, Rydia holds a grudging sort of respect for Remilia. They have argued over Flandre before, which resulted in some sort of uneasy kinship between them; both girls established, during that argument, that they care for Flandre and only want what's best for her. Remilia finds Rydia interesting. Rydia doesn't share her sentiments. She doesn't exactly dislike Remilia - in fact they seem to be a bit alike - but it's hard to tell during conversation. She's not going to go all out of her way to be nice to her. It will probably remain that way.
Shelly de Killer;
Rydia is terribly fond of Shelly. She feels very special to be considered a friend of his, and she enjoys the fact that she can occasionally offer entertainment to him. While Shelly worries about Rydia's ties to him coming back to haunt them both, Rydia dismisses such notions. She's happy to take the risk to give him something he's always wanted.
She is well aware of what he does for a living and she doesn't care; she likes him for who he is, not what he does. As with all of her friends, she'd rather die than betray him. Strong sentiments, but when she commits to something, she gives it everything she's got and then some.
Jason Todd;
Due to a misunderstanding (read: he thought she threatened Hit Girl), these two are no longer friends. Rydia did want them to move past the misunderstanding but he didn't accept it. So she took back the gift (dragon's tooth) that Bahamut had given him.
Now Rydia wouldn't spit on him if he was on fire. In fact, she'd probably grab some marshmallows and roast them on his flaming corpse. She doesn't wish any harm to come to him, but if it happens she'll be right there standing over him laughing and reminding him that Karma is a son of a bitch. Cruel? Hell yes. But he called her a child hating bitch, broke into her room and invaded her privacy. Though she'll never admit it out loud, she takes that rather personally.
Zelos Wilder;
Zelos is the most beautiful thing Rydia has ever laid eyes on. Period. Aside from the fact that he's charming and obscenely gorgeous, he also has this way about him that makes her curious about him. Rydia doesn't mind his flirting; in fact, Zelos is one of two people that can successfully get her to blush. There might be something to him that she's not aware of, but it's doubtful she'll get to know what it is. She's not actively trying to pursue it either. All of her attention in this regard is currently diverted elsewhere.
Zappa;
Zappa is a good friend of Rydia's. Though he hurt her feelings on a few occassions, Rydia kept her promised and helped find someone to get rid of Sko for him. While Rydia cares about Zappa on a platonic level, she really wishes that he'd just grow a spine. Rydia herself is a strong individual, so to her Sko was not an excuse for his lack of passion for life and fear of everything. However, the wraith is gone now, so she's hoping he'll take this opportunity to catch up on all the things that he missed out on because of Sko.
