Random stuff from today
Ok, so, I got into this Astronomy Service Learning thing WHICH IS AWESOME. It's for my Aliens class (Astrobiology, the study of the search for life in the universe- YES IT'S A CLASS ON ALIENS :D) and it's this thing where I learn how to work the telescopes and GET PAID FOR IT :D (not much, like, 25 hours overall, BUT STILL, MONEY IS MONEY!) and then teach others how to use them and stuff. AND GET PAID FOR IT! So we had our first meeting today (which, GAH, I was 6 minute or so late to! AHHHH! Note to self- give self an hour and a half from the time I leave the house to the time I get TO class. Not to the bus stop, TO class. If I have extra time, I can do homework. ... I love how I lived 60 miles from school in high school and had an hour commute, and I live 5 miles from school for college.... and have an hour commute. :P.)
Anyway, first meeting today, and on the way there I caught the bus to, get there. And on the bus was this girl I noticed right away 'cus she was this cute little Asian with OMG AMAZING EYES (cus they were contacts, but, wuteva, lol) who was dressed awesomely. So we start talking on the bus and I mention I'm going to this Astronomy thing (oh, she's a freshman also and she goes to SF State), and hey! She's in an Astronomy class also! And today is supposed to be an AMAZING day for seeing Jupiter and she needed to keep a star chart anyway and she had no way to see Jupiter.
Well, hey, mah stop is right now and wanna come along to see Jupiter?
Okay! :D
So she came along (even though most of the meeting was just introductions and bureacratic stuff and whatnot) and it was awesome. Yay for spotanity! :D. (She cold just catch the 54 from the same stop though and get home later, so, ya.) Sadly though I had to leave before we got to see Jupiter in the highest magnification they have and then see the moon, 'cus I had to catch the 54 so I could catch my last bus home. (I'm telling ya, when I FINALLY get my bike back- I keep procastinating on it and not picking it up, and I need to do that, like, when I come back from going home for the weekend- from the shop, I am gonna be SO happy about not having to worry about being at the Daly City Bart by 10:13 so I can catch the last 120 home.
So other random story. On the way back I was at the Bart station, waiting for the 120, and all I had is a 5. (I told the driver on the last bus- cus I also almost missed it and literally it went by me as I was walking to the stop so I went JOG JOG AHHH!- that I'd ask passengers for change, but he kinda went "It's ok, just come on." I like nice bus drivers. :D) The bus fare is 1 dollar. (Well, for, in 14 minutes 7 more days- A WEEK TO 18 BOOYAKA! - but I'm, err, probably gonna just keep on paying the child's fare anyway... :D. *Has been paying the 15-and-under-fare for the bus to Bakersfield since I was 15. Never have payed more. :P*
So I see some guys handing over money and the guy counting money and I'm like "Oh!" so without thinking go up and ask the guys "Hey, do you have change for a 5?"
Only then did it register "Um. Sarah. They're trading money at the BART station at 10 pm at night. .... DO YOU WANT TO BE ASKING THEM FOR CHANGE? THAT COULD BE DRUGS!"
... It was an Iphone 3G.
I totally just witnessed a black market iphone selling.
And I asked them for change. (Unsurprisingly, they didn't have it because they didn't have bills that small.)

And those are my random stories from today. Most of the day I just worked on cleaning my room and FINALLY unpacking boxes. Not done- have a bit more to do tonight before it's good enough that I'm no longer cluttering up the living room. Won't be DONE of course, but once I have all my books unpacked and most of the stuff out of boxes, I'll be happy. Meant to go to school at like, 4 pm 'cus I had errands to do (actually was gonna go to the mall next to SFSU first so I could turn in some applications, but that would involve being ready at like, 2, to go with my roommate 'cus she had class at 3, and ya, wasn't ready. :D) but kept dealing it and finally went 'Oh whatever, I can do them all tomorrow.' So, gonna have to get up super early 'cus I have to rush out of school once class is done at 4 so I can go home, get my luggage (ohh, gotta pack it...) and get back on the BART down to SFO Airport to fly out at 7:45.
A little voice in my head says this is a waste of transfers and I should just take my luggage with me to school and go directly to the airport from school... but I don't wanna drag around the luggage all day. So, whatever.
Going home tomorrow btw. HOMMMMEEE! :D. My dad's getting married this weekend near Palm Springs, and 4 different couple were going to head down from the Bay Area for it, but 3 of them couldn't give me a ride for whatever reason, but 1 could. Except then we learned that they could only give me a ride down, not back. (Well they could give me a ride back, but it'd involve me missing school on Tuesday, so no.) And now they're not going. And flights straight to Palm Springs airport on short notice are expensive.
SO, YAY! GOING TO LAX! I'm happier this way. I always have 4 day weekend- until I have work anyway. ... I need a job... And this way I can go home! HOMMMEE! I GET TO VISIT HOMEEEE! I miss everyone! I miss my family, I miss my house. I miss my friends. Alot. I think I'm more excited about seeing them on Friday (I'm going to Bakersfield) than I am about, you know, going to my dad's wedding. Which is sad.
I MISS MY CAT. SO MUCH. I LOVE YOU LUTHER. (Even though you're in my French class.... my cat is this SUPER NICE REALLY FRIENDLY big black cat named Luther. There's a black dude in my French class named Luther. All he needs is to be, like, big instead of skinny man. Makes me giggle anyway.)
Anyway I'mmmm getting off topic and I have SO MUCH TO DO AROUND HERE (finish cleaning up, do homeworrrkkk!) and, like, NO SLEEP FOR TONIGHT, so, gonna get off now...
