Go Braves!

Woooooooo!  GO BRAVES!
Okay, I know what you are thinking...what is this queen doing talking about sports?  It's true that I usually dont associate myself with the sporty life, but on occasion when it happens to present itself to me, I take interest in what it has to offer.  This was the case tonight.  My sister Lori (one of 2 sisters) was given 4 tickets to tonight's game against the Washington Nationals.  They were good seats, too....dugout section 103.  So, Lori, my nephew Matt, myself, and Brandon (Lancaster007) went and had a rather exciting time.  Granted, it took me a while to warm up to the game and follow what was going on.  I was more interested in the effects at the stadium (yeah, sound like a recent entry?) than the game at first, but seeing as how balls kept flying into the stands, I figured it to be in my best interest to watch the action on the field.  =)

So, as I started to take interest in the game, which was somewhere around the fifth or sixth quarter......uhm, inning I think it's called in this sport...the Nationals were up by two.  I hadn't realized that anyone had scored, and was a bit disappointed to see it wasn't the good ole Braves.  Well, after a strategic change of pitcher, the Braves started to improve, and after having met the two points, found themselves in overtime (is that what it's called?).  Anyway, it was now the 10th inning, and the Braves managed to keep the Nationals from scoring a single point before 3 outs were accomplished, and then closed the deal by winning the game.  Woooooo!  Drinks for everyone!  ...or at least that is what it smelled like, lol.  I did have more fun that I have in a while, which is always a plus.  And, it was great spending it with my family, and my best friend.  Maybe things aren't as bad as they seem....looks like things do generally work out, and this has proven one thing:  in life when it looks like you are down and in danger of losing, at the last minute, things will work out and you will come out on top.  Then there will be great celebrations and fanfare!  Okay, maybe not celebrations and fanfare....but a good feeling nonetheless.  AND, it helps to have good people around you to get you there!  So, yeah........

WOW, it was hot today...the temperature registered 104F in my car at one point.......which generally is a good average between the actual temperature and the heat index, lol.  It sucks, because my cooling system is overheating for some reason in my Explorer, and that means NO A/C!  So yeah, this and other financial reasons has caused me to begin the search for a more reliable, economic alternative to my current situation.  I will be looking around for a couple of weeks, so if you know or anything good, email me.

One more day of sanity before tax-free begins, and that means I have to be at work at 9:45 tomorrow.......which f*ck!  isn't tomorrow anymore!  It's today!  Guess that's what happens when you get in at midnight, lol.  Anyway, I have to get to sleep.......

OH, make it a point to reconnect with a few people you have lost touch with.  It can serve as your "personal improvement" of the week.  =)

G'nite
