Так получилось, что я участвую в спонсировании индийского мальчика, у родителей которого на его содержание и образование денег нет. Он учится в ашраме, ему покупают одежду и прочее необходимое. Каждый год он присылает письмо с фотографией. Лет за шесть никто ему так ни разу и не ответил.

На последней фотографии у него появилась обувь, но он больше не улыбается.







К рукописному письму прилагается сделанная гуманитарной организацией расшифровка, чтобы дорогие спонсоры не мучались, разбирая каракули. Они исправляют самые грубые ошибки, вставляют пропущенные слова (которых постепенно становится все больше, а к концу письма мальчик пропускает уже целые куски предложений) и немножно дописывают то, чего, по их мнению, не хватает (например, в описании поездки).

My warm greetings to you, your husband and your children*. Thank you for your kind sponsorship support. I am very grateful to you. I am doing well and happy in the Ashram.

I have been in the Ashram for the past five years. In the Ashram I am living in New Land campus. There are 20 children are living in our cottage. I go to school by walk. Our school is near to our campus. In the Ashram everyday morning and evening we pray. We sing traditional and devotional songs. My hobby is playing and drawing. During this period we enjoyed many festivals. I am very happy to celebrate such festivals like Diwali, Pongal and the Founder's day celebration. I also received two sets of new clothes from the Ashram. We also celebrated small festivals.

On April 23 to 25 we all went on tour to a hill place called Kodaikanal. There are about 161 persons, includes staff and children participated in this program. We engaged 3 buses. The place is very nice. But we had rain on. So we miss some places to see. We enjoyed colour flowers very much. On the way to returned to the Ashram we visited a famous temple near Madurai. We worshipped and had our dinner there. This place called Tiruparankuntam. I spent my summer holidays with my parents. I also visited my brother's and sister's family.

Myself and my father convey our grateful thanks to you, ACA members and the Ashram for your kind and great support to me. With your kind support only we received good care and education from the Ashram. Thank you once again.
