mmm...for my birthday, my roommate had her brother bring a kirschkernkissen for me from germany, and i'm absolutely in love with it. basically, it's a cloth bag with cherry seeds in it that you pop in the microwave for warmth, pains, etc. how i ever slept without one, i'll never know, and it smells amazing after it's heated *inhales*

if only they ( Read more... )

tommyyyyy! (i keep meaning to tell you - i youtubed him *facepalm* and that goal against plymouth? SO. HOT. hee)

haha, next time i'll just say, "oi, you! tell me 'happy birthday!'" XD no worries, hon, but thank you! *squishes back*

that bag. i'm not sure we have anything like that in the states - at least, i've never seen or heard of it until i met my friend! the lavender one, as a sleeping aid, yes, but not the cherry one. (haha, nah, if it does, just leave the door open for a while!)

it makes me so incredibly sad that one day kinda soon, i won't be watching a match with the guys i've grown to love and know so much about, on and off the pitch. not qualifying for a tournament that happens every four years just makes it worse.

hee, not waffling, i know what you mean :) when solskjaer retired, i was just shocked and thought, "oh, man. it's starting. shit, who's next?" yeah, it's sad to lose any great player. (i should start getting attached to the under 21 boys!)

bwahaha, you support whomever the hell you want. just don't let the girls over at football_secret hear you - they are VICIOUS! haha, if you support switzerland, we have the first game - bring it on, aimz! just curious, do you normally not watch the senior team?

the studying went well, thanks, and don't worry about my birthday, babe! *squish*

Hee, I can talk about him over here. (I can't in my own LJ, 'cause someone on the flist is a family friend of his, meeeep) ... but yus, that goal was utterly golden. Did you see him run the length of the pitch and jump into Granty's arms? Apparently Granty had been joking that no-one ever celebrates with him, so Tommy had joked that if he scored v Plymgob, he would do. Obviously he was only messing about, him being a full-back and never scoring etc, so he literally took off up the field when he did, bless. Mmmm, the Granty/Tommy bunnies were rampant for a wee while after that, heee! XD

*hugs* You know I've never really thought of it in terms of Wednesday players retiring. I guess it's 'cause they don't tend to hang around v. long :( My all time fave player is currently managing Oldham Athletic, hee ;)

Gah. The more I hear about that comm, the more I'm glad I don't read it, lol. It sounds a nightmare! :/ Eh, no, not Switzerland. I'm still struggling to make my mind up who to plump for though :(

Senior team, as in England, you mean? Nope, I'm not a fan at all. I find it slightly hypocritical that I'm supposed to support a team of players I dislike purely because they're wearing an England shirt. But then I'm not at all patriotic, so ... *shrugs*

Bizarrely, I absolutely worship the England cricket team though. Crazy! ;)

(haha, i can see that being awkward!) oh, my god, yes, the running was so adorable, but that story makes it better! aww, he's cute. (BWAHAHA, "plymgob!")

:( *hugs*

haha, yeah. the early secrets were actually fun, light-hearted secrets, like "i think so-and-so is hot," but now they're just personal, bitter attacks on teams and people. case in point, you're not missing anything!

i agree. people find it so weird that not only do i not support the us, but i support england. they just happened to be one of the teams in the first match i ever watched. i never even watched club football until frank started easing into the senior team!

probably shouldn't say this to an englishwoman, but i can't watch cricket! *ducks and hides* hee, playing it is a lot of fun (i learned how to when i was at oxford), but it's like baseball to me, a bit too slow and no contact. *wink wink* that being said, i'd like to go to a live professional match like i did with baseball (went to my first game like two weeks ago!) 'cause everyone says it's better live. you gotta take me!

It was the whole reason I set up carnivalflair tbh, 'cause I had all my fic listed in the memories and when I first wrote tommy/richard I was all, oh shit, can't post it the way I'd like to. There ought to be a filtered option for the memories me thinks :/

I hear the whole thing kind of combusted while I was away. I'm glad I never got involved now. Sounds quite nasty :(

Lol, neigh, I can totally see how it bores the pants off some people. I sort of grew up watching it though, live and on tv, so it's been a part of my life for ages now. Hee, oh god yeah, you gotta come to a live game. Sitting in the sun all day, drinking beer and drooling over hot men ... how can that be bettered? :D
