a few pet peeves (just to get it off my mind)
1. day people (at work) who think it is entirely ok to call me in the middle of the day to aske me a question like "did i hear you say you are working tonight?" or "do you remember that fingerstick that you got at midnight on this person?" or my personal favorite "why didn't you write that down" (it is quite possible the nurse never told me to get it because if i got it i would writeit down)
2. patients who don't want to do anything for themselves....do you honestly forget how to throw the covers off your legs after you throw up? or how to raise your arm to get your blood pressure taken, or how to get up out of bed? sit in a chair, or even how to turn the right way so you don't get tangled in a rope (your iv but it is the same concept) DUH!!!!!!!!!!
3. people who drive 15 miles under the speed limit just because it is wet.
4. all the gossip at the hospital....drop it and leave it be....yes i like one of the docs....who cares....nothing is going to happen, he has a girlfriend....i don't steal....im over it...prince charming is out there....yes annette is seeing that guy from the lab....she is happy so shut up and leave her alone....
4. people who eat constanly and say they are "eating for 2 now" that is total balogne....you are eating just to gorge yourself, and also people who eat 2 peoples share of the food that someone else brings in for everyone....or people who eat someone else's thing (like a doughnut) and doesn't think about if everyone has had one. who is always first in line but has never brought anything in for everyone to share....grrrrrr
