I never know what to write after I just stop for a year. Hm. Well I left off leaving Hawaii.. which I did. I had an amazing end to my semester though. The friends I've made there will be with me for the rest of my life.
Leaving Hawaii could have been tragic, if it wasn't followed by such an epicly awesome summer. The only word to describe it was CHILL. It wasn't what I expected at all, I spent absolutely every day with Olivia and Dan, worked a lot at the shack, spent long days in the sun, camped out in the desert, saw slightly stupid and pepper in boston, hung out in my kitchen with a wonderful crew every night, just everything was so good I loved those days.
I started at UMO this fall with my fabulous roommate, Christine. I was a bit iffy about umo for a while, just didn't feel right-- but ween and I always had fun. Dan, Tom and Andy were all here too, and I made some new friends I just adore like Andrew Emily Will Garrick Brady Dave Bev Fenton Mandi and some other crazy characters I love having around.
This semesters been GREAT; the only real downside was that Dan decided to do a semester in Hawaii. I'm pretty excited for him because he's having an unreal experience like I did, and we can talk about it together, but I was really sad to have my best friend leave me here in the cold. Other than that I've been putting a lot of effort into school, but really having a good time. I love our group of friends and our weekends.
Last week I went to Hawaii, talk about time of my life. I spent a week on Oahu with Cory which was so fun but almost kind of weird--as in it didn't feel like a vacation necessarily. It felt like home, or just like being back. I saw old teachers, and went to my preschool and saw my fave (shh) baby and co workers, got together with the good friends from last year. It was just so natural, so nice to be there. Then I spent a week with Dan on the big island. Dave was there too which was fun and Liv was there visiting the week before, and the begining of the week I was there. We went to the volcano, hilo bay, saw waterfalls, went to the awesome farmers market.. got rediculously drunk every night. The best night was the last night I was there, Dan and I went to Kona and watched the sunset, then stayed at this cool hostel and made friends from switzerland and just stayed up all night. bahh I miss him.
But I'm back in Orono and life is good here too! Oh, and I'm wicked tan.
