Here's a couple of fairly recent non H/D fic that I absolutely love

Summary: Sirius has an Ingenious Idea, which involves swimming across the Great Lake at midnight, and Remus realises some very important things.
This reminded me of how much I love Remus/Sirius. _greensweater uses language and description excellently and her characterization is fantastic. In fact, you should just go read all her Remus/Sirius stuff.

I often don't read original fic on lj because it can be so hard to find something actually worth reading, but I'm so glad I read this. scoradh is an excellent fanfic writer and her original fic is just as good.
