The
hyouteiexchange reveal went up today. As much as running an exchange can be a headache (I don't know how anyone does it without co-mods,
zoesque &
peacock were awesome), I had a lot of fun doing it. All you Tenipuri people need to go check out the fics and art if you haven't already and shower the authors & artists with love. There's some absolutely fabulous stuff posted. I'll probably get up a proper recs post sometime this week.
I wrote Don't Knock It Until You Try It for
puccho and Only in the Sound for the entire community (read: a deadbeat). They'll both be reposted here eventually (Don't Knock It will probably undergo some revision first, which I feel bad about since it was a gift, but I'm not completely happy with the ending).
I have a question for all you writers on my flist. How do you write? Do you do it sequentially- start at the beginning, end at the ending? Or do you write out of order- a scene here and a scene there until you eventually have an entire fic?
I'm an out of order writer. I usually, but not always, start with the very first scene and then write the very last scene. The middle scenes get written in somewhat random order, depending on which ones are more fleshed out in my head. My WIPs are full of notes telling me what is supposed to happen in whatever scene I haven't actually written yet.
I guess I know where it begins and where it's going, but I work out exactly how it gets there as I go.
In other news,
this Patrick/ Butch Walker interview?
Butch asks Patrick about the first concert he went to. Patrick says "[...] Midnight Oil. They were my favorite band ever on Earth at the time"
I would just like to say MINE TOO!! I loved Midnight Oil! I went to that tour! (Although not that particular show.) Hothouse Flowers were awesome. I totally wanted their album and my mom would not buy it for me.
