“Wait, wait,” Gerard says, and doesn’t freak out. “The fuck do you take me for? I don’t need to pay some guy you know for a date.”
Mikey snorts, shoving his hands into his pockets. “Yeah, no, okay? Maybe I was talking about your project? I’m not that interested in your personal life.”

Brendon used to be sure that Bank of America was the most fucked up place he’d ever work in his entire life. Now? Now he’s three days into a position at First Star Savings Bank that’s further out in the country and further separated from reality.

Brendon really, really wanted to go to the carnival. He’d been excited to move to Las Vegas, having heard all the stories about it. He knew his parents would be upset if they knew his enthusiasm wasn’t so much about spreading the word the prophet as it was about seeing the big city.
And now there was a carnival, with gypsies and dancers and a snake tamer and the exotic fortune-teller, and Brendon wanted to see it so badly he could almost taste it.

If you thought that befriending Draco Malfoy would be easier than defeating the Dark Lord you’d be wrong. Harry Potter has to grow another pair of legs and a forked tail before he can break down the frosty barrier blocking the way into Malfoy’s heart (and his underpants).
