You will notice, no more orange! Hurray for small victories! Now, my plethora of new questions.

1) The user pic issue definitely needs addressing. Now, this may be a stupid question, but why does it look like people's user pics are different every time they post? (your two comments and their corresponding photos above being prime examples) Am I supposed to have a stash of pics to rotate through as desired? Where do I find these pics? Do they have places where dumb people like me can simply use other people's or does that violate some sort of code? Am I simply SOL if I don't know how to create pretty ones of my own?

2) How do you create master fic lists like the one on your page? I feel like that would be handy.

3) How do you tag people in your entries?

4) Are fics supposed to be posted on your journal page the same way you would post any other entry, or is there a 'special' way to go about doing that?

5) There is no five that I can think of at the moment. It just like when lists end in a number divisible by five.

Also, I don't work tomorrow. So I suspect I will spend the majority of tonight bouncing between writing and developing LJ super powers. You're probably going to get harassed a lot. Sorry.

1) Basically yes - they let you upload a stack of userpics (up to something like 30 I think, but I only have 8) and when you post a comment from the site, there should be a drop down menu that lets you pick which one you want.

2) Heh, I don't actually have a master fic list, I just never post entries other than fic so it looks like they're all together. Most people just write it up as a normal journal entry, with links to their fics as posted in separate entries. LJ lets you alter the date on which entries are posted, so you can set it so that the masterlist is always at the top of the entries of your journal by giving it some date well out into the future. The html can be a bit of a pain, but as long as you kind of know the basic code to create links, or alternatively, use the rich text editor, it should all be pretty easy.

3) By tagging people, do you mean when the little head icon appears with a link to their journal? I can't actually type the code you need without it trying to link to a journal that doesn't exist so instructions are here.

4) From my understanding at least, fics are like any other entry.

5) I like numbers divisible by five too, but four would also have been okay because it is a square number and I like squares.

Harass away. I also have tomorrow off, but even so - I'm at work right now and have been able to sneak this in between shiftily changing my open windows, so I don't really forsee any problems ;) I feel vaguely manipulative by providing incentive to get you involved with LJ - seriously, only do so if you want to!

Heh, part of me is still wary, but most of me is stubborn and really hates the idea of a WEBSITE being infinitely smarter than I am. I think this is already the longest I have stuck around without quitting for another six months, so I might as well keep at it!
