I'm in a surprisingly positive mood for as generally poopy as the better part of today was. Not really a "good" mood, certainly not a "great" mood, but decidedly positive

ok, no no no... i was quite nice to the cashier lady. i worked customer service and ran two registers in a similar place and i know all about people hollering at the poor cashier who can't do a damn thing about it.
i wanted to strangle the woman in accounting and the people at the law firm who took care of the check and various other people who actually had something to do with it.
And WalMart does go through a service to tell them if you hav ean outstanding check at, say, BiLo or some other place using their service, but they keep their own list of the returned checks from WalMart esp. that particular store. They showed me the info still on their list about the check that is supposedly outstanding, that's how I'm sure I paid that one. Now I have to find the receipt and money order reciept and crap and go jump through hoops all over again just because they're lousy lazy record keepers (yes I know they have a lot of that crap to deal with, but in my opinion. when it comes to a place like that making a mistake like that, that's no excuse).
Oh, once whenI worked retail, I had this guy start screaming and cussing and nearly throw shit at me just bacause he wrote his check for too much over and couldn't accapt it. Like it's my fault that limit is in place or I told him not to read the big sign right in front of him at the register!
And I had to handle all the returns. Imagine the crap! I can't help it the store wouldn't take people's crap back! Geez! I hated that job soooo much!
Heh. But it is kind of ammusing to look back on now. And I no longer get too mad at sales people/ cashiers for stuff that I realize they can't control.
