Weekend trip report, a few days late

Oct 18, 2007 10:33

This weekend a bunch of us pedalled from Llo-Lleo (near San Antonio) to Matanzas. There were some murderous climbs, but we all made it, and all in one piece. Like I said in another post, we had some really violent crosswinds to contend with, but I will say it again, and again and again. Chile is gorgeous. I can't believe I get to live here.

And here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure, so you can see what I saw. I only wish you could breathe what I breathed! And feel the fine sand pass through your fingers, though miraculously not have as much of it in your ears as I seem to still...

left to right, row by row
1.happy cyclist! this sedan is going downhill!, A flat spot in the road before the hills started
2.the desembocadura, or estuary of Río Rapel where it dumps into the sea, a little joviality on the tsunami warning sign.
3 No Swimming in the River!, the group (I love my joby tripod!)
