Hello Stephan! ^_^ Sorry to pick on oil, even if only in the metaphoric sense (indeed, I do most appreciate all of the things your Alaskan oil allows me to do...such as type this message on my plastic key-board and not worry about the lights going out or my car starting in the morning, etc., etc. :-) but oil just fit so nicely in my haphazard metaphor-thingy...ya...it wasn't pretty but had to get it out. My usual value system needed to be split into "my" value system which I balance my life by, and the "professional" value system, which is still a part of "my" value system but different enough to (hopefully) (1) help me leave work at work with my career, (2) avoid becoming a vigilante and (3) minimize the risk of becoming the monster I'm setting out to slay...or if not "slay" then at least clip it's claws, file down its teeth and give it a swift kick in the family jewels for good measure. :-) I'm very glad that life is treating you and yours well, as a little bird (a "swallow" to be precise :-) has been stalking you on my behalf as well as her own. :-) Life is good, but I am so very weary...this graduate school...tis hard...good, but hard...my head hurts. I keep talking too much though, but my teachers and classmates seem to like it. Like tonight, in Ethics on what constitutes an ideal public Steward, (Steward...what a wonderful and underused concept and ideal in our market driven system. :-) I basically gave a run down of certain philosophies concerning "balance" and "compassion" and the professor was a little surprised I outlined his presentation before he gave it. I wish you were there; it is strange having these discussions without you creeping around the proximity. ^_^ Ok...time for bed. Take care, Art
