The last few days have been tiresome. They've also been amusing--it depends on how you look at it. Aunt Lillian has me wrapping her Christmas gifts for friends and family. "Write this label for Sue," she tells me. So I write the label and put it on Sue's gift. Five minutes later she tells me, "I've decided not to give that to Sue. It would be better for Grace." So I pull the label (and part of the paper with it) off the gift and write a NEW label. Then 30 minutes later Aunt Lillian tells me, "No , I think Grace doesn't need that. I want to give her _________ instead!" Round and round we go, day after day, switching gifts. She just can't make up her mind, but stays up late hours in bed just thinking.

I, on the other hand, have to thank God for the "benefits" of Aunt Lillian's wishy-washy mind. Sometime it causes me trouble, but at least I can change her unsettled mind whenever I need to--simply by coming up with a convincing argument. =)

So what else have I been doing besides tearing up perfectly good gift labels? I've been brainstorming. I remember the fun I used to have in days past. I played with the kids so much more--I was their favorite "fun person" and now half the time all I feel like doing is losing my temper. So now I've decided to change that--to lighten my hectic life up a bit.

Okay, so this is only the beginning of my eventual list. I have yet to create an activity for each holiday, but I'm working on it. For instance, On the "Day of Gold and Joy Untold" I plan to gather my brother and sisters around. We'll take gold ribbon and weave it into bracelets for each one so as to "bind us together for eternity." Then we'll hold hands and make a resolution of friendship. It'll be so much fun!!!

Basking in the excitement,
Summer Joy
