So:

What do you do to support someone you love who's in or going into the medical field? When they're so exhausted, stressed out, and preoccupied. When it's day in and day out, week after month, etc... of studying/staying late, working hard?

I hear from so many spouses and family members of various medical practitioners that it's so hard to watch them go through it all, and how the divorce rates for hospital personel are through the roof. How do you prevent that? How do you BE there for them, when they're barely 'there', themselves? What kind of things do you think would make it all more successful and fulfilling for everyone? What can show them how appreciative you are, while making things easier- if it can never be easy- for them?
