leaving town...

Sep 16, 2004 00:13

so i found my LJ4L shirt last night, and i decided it was time to come home.

but that doesnt mean i didnt have a killer week, im not gonna lie. great stuff.

right so apparently i made the sailing team (yeah, here its a varsity sport, can you believe it?), which was a little crazy. theyre all really nice people and its fun, although i dont know what im doing at all. seriously. lizzie knows what shes doing, and she fell in. for tryouts lorraine got the really hot captain (hahaaaa funny stuff) whos like going to win the next olympics, seriously. but i really dont have time at the moment for it, i kinda need a job, so im gonna work out my sched around it next year and rock out prepcore. which isnt my style, but whatever.

i should note here that i have a facebook stalker, who got my cell # off my profile. and called it. odd.

note 2: the icc building always makes me feel like its really late, but then i get outside, and im pleasantly surprised by day! :)

right what else, that was thursday, when i also decided to apply for a radio show spot! they broadcast online so ill let u kids know about the times and stuff, should be super fun. my friends and i also tried ballroom dancing, but they made us dance with weird boys, so we left.

friday was a-effing-mazing. in the afternoon was the colin powell lecture, and i def got out of class for it. hes so smart, i really enjoyed it. they showed it on nbc and when they showed the audience it was like me janet lorraine and twister, amazing. that night, we went to see snow patrol and eimear insisted on standing directly in front of the mic, which was lucky cuz her and blair ended up with guitar picks! but the girl who got the setlist was hardcore... she like pulled it away from me and ran. bitch. but the show was amazing, eisley opened, and we met one of the dudes who plays guitar. hes really tall. we then proceeded to cram 7 people in one cab, i wish you could do that in ny... dc is super ghetto like that.

ohhh saturday was that effing japanese book lecture. im sorry, but no one could hear him. at all. like he didnt speak english. oh well. saturday night they had a candlelight vigil for 9-11 and that was nice, but afterwards i was just kinda wandering around sad, and i got angry all of a sudden. like i walked by village a, and everyone was just partying it up. wtf? thats an everynight thing, can you just give it up for one night and have some respect? given, im a fan of village a parties, but like, i just had enough. i ended up in the little quad by the chapel and the fountain, and there were kids using it as a slip n slide, which was amusing.

after awhile i ran into none other than nik and kaivon, who definitely made my night, climbing the trees in the "secret garden", and i have to say, lorraine, blair, and myself ended up in the fountain as well, dancing around. we have quallllity pics, ill have to post them. but like i still was kinda upset, so we made kettle corn and hot cocoa and had a slumber party. it was excellent. dorms are like having slumber parties all the time! woo!

wait which was the day the dining hall lady yelled at us about the ice cream? so we decided it would be prime time to go to thomas sweet's ice cream instead (kind of far, mind you)... on the way there we accomplished quite a bit.. got a sweet pink fluffy skirt and stalked john kerry, as usual.

right so sunday was the yankees/orioles game.. super fun! joe georgina georges and julie were there, georges decided to get a balloon hat (which we traded off wearing for the rest of the game, it was a sweet hat guys). the yankees got two home runs in a row, it was crazy amazing. hmmmm monday we went to stalk the kerry household yet again (its always fun to bother the secret service... really it never ever gets old). tuesday we got some chicken madness! but i swear, a lot of things on campus are spelled incorrectly. which is surprising. i thought gtown might be classy like that.

today we kinda just ran around rediculously, kaivon is downstairs having a german techo partay, wooo! and i have to pack (in the dark, lizzies asleep, again...) because, thats right... im coming home for the weekend!!! me and meg are attempting the chinatown bus tomorow at approximately 3:00, wish us luck, cuz we're gonna eff this up i just know it. but hey, its $20... and it leaves us in new york dangerously close to puglias! partay on!!! :)
