Something's making me feel like life is good right now, although I don't really know why, or what it is.
I'm having my morning coffee out of a chipped mug that looks like it was purchased in Chinatown or someplace else that thinks it's Chinatown. I also believe it to be one of the many Casey belongings we still enjoy here in the 65 Hillside household.
After I get out of class today I'm going to go home to Sudbury; my mom's away in Guatemala and my dad will be working so I'm going to spend my day off tomorrow hanging out with Bailey and hopefully getting things done sans the distractions of the city. I had a dream the other night that was pretty cool, and when I woke up I realized it had contained everything I needed to form a concept for a project I've been putting off for weeks for lack of an idea. That sort of thing doesn't usually happen to me, but I'd be stoked if it did more often. It's also been hard times (thanks in part to Good Times) getting up before eleven lately but this morning I was out the door by 8:40 because, ow, I ate so much chocolate chip cheesecake shortly before bed. I keep remembering all these things I better do, like the photo assignment that was due a while ago, and talking to someone authoratative about spending a semester abroad next year, and teaching myself to use Illustrator and Photoshop and another program I don't even remember the name of? And all sorts of final projects and observations. Err . . . at least I made a dent in room cleaning so life can be a bit smoother here in the front of the a-p-t. Thanksgiving is NEXT WEEK which is . . . how the heck did THAT happen? It's pretty cool, though, excited for warm weather and pie and reading on planes. I wish I had done something about my non-working scanner when I bought it sometimes, it'd be nice to be able to post scannables . . . perhaps that'll be added to the Sudbury to-do list.
A coworker asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I hadn't thought about it at all yet, but I think mostly I just want a lot of colorful kitchen accessories which may or may not make me prematurely an old fart. I also spend all my money on paper, and I've begun rolling pennies, annnnnnd . . . it's about time for a shower
