So
deleerium and I went out and got correctly fitted for bras the other week. Everyone always says it's the best thing they have ever done, and on all the clothing makeover shows it's the very FIRST thing they do. It was a blast!!
We just walked in and asked if they had time to fit us. They put us in dressing rooms across from each other (within giggling distance...) The gal came in and said take your shirt off, but leave your bra on. She used a tape measure around my ribs and around my breasts to get the appropriate size. Then they just bring you bras to try on until you say stop!
I was pretty sure I had been "Vanity Sizing" before and I was a little nervous about looking at the sizes she was bringing me. Needless to say the cup size was a little further down the alphabet than I had previously been wearing...
It was fun an we learned a lot about how a bra is supposed to fit.
I'm now doing laundry twice as often so I can wear the ones I bought that fit right.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find that they were priced in the same range as what I had been paying before - if not a little less. I bought 3 and paid $35-$40 each. Normally I pay $40-$45 on sale. No - I do not shop at Walmart for my undergarments. That doesn't make it wrong, just my personal preference.
I highly recommend all women doing this if you haven't already. I can't believe we waited this long!
