Thank you so much! It was surprisingly fun writing a story with absolutely no porn in it. Who woulda thought!

Sometimes it's the porn that doesn't happen that is the most meaningful, I find. You have to read between the lines and see how things could have been.

Oh yeah, I totally agree. Normally I'm all about the porn, but sometimes... sometimes it's much better without.

Have you read rageprufrock's SPN fic, 'It Doesn't Mean You Can Explain The Ocean"? That's kinda the same, the way she wrote it was perfect without needing the porn.

No, I haven't. Wincest totally squicks me, so I stay away from SPN fic. I pretty much only read SV actually.

But Pru's a very good writer, so I totally believe you! *g*

(this may be a little spoilery for the fic, if anyone reading this is thinking of reading it)

It's not actually Wincest, in the end. Which is why it's so perfect, because she makes it Sam wanting it - and you only realise really right at the very end, it's super-subtle - and being told no by somebody else, and Dean never realising. It's just... one of those fics :D

What a wondeful, bitter sweet story. It's lovely, and now I really want to know if they get together. Or I don't, maybe I just want to imagine all the hot sex and the perfect love they will enjoy together. No, I do want to know what happens, but the story works really, really well as it is. Brava!
