Summertime thoughts
Sorry my long absence. I was on summer holiday and wasn't on mood to write. At all. I did however read a lot. And found new fandom that my muse keeps bugging me to write about. Or more likely that little kitsune throws random bits and pieces to my head and never at the time I actually COULD write....
Anyway... I started to wonder one evening what it is with me and alternative pairings on fanfictions. I root for the original one as long as I follow manga/anime/book but as soon as I get to the fanfiction part I start reading/writing ONLY alternative pairings... and even then I'm usually stuck with one choise... Well, there ARE exceptions. Lots of them actually.. But still...
Lets take the fandom and pairing that started this all. I wasn't really into fanfictions until I finished reading Inuyasha manga. I can't remember how or why I actually got into the fanfiction.net but the first story I read was... NOT good. So I clicked next one... And got hooked. One reading of Kagome/Sesshoumaru pairing and everything else was boring. No, I tried. I really tried to read Kags/Inu story because I wanted to stay loyal to the canon pairing but... yeah. So... I got hooked. Badly. So badly that I found site that concentrates only to that pairing... and then I got into writing it too... (I still blame you, sugar0o)
But what got me into thinking (after 2 years of reading fanfiction) that I seem to prefer alternative pairings was OHSHC fictions. I mean, I was all for Haruhi/Tamaki long after anime was completed and as long as I read manga... (haven't finished that one yet,btw) and then I go and for fun of it read Haruhi/Kyoya story... and there you go again. Other pairings seem boring.

I think the only fandom I've been into and never even considered alternative pairings are Ghost Hunt, Dengeki Daisy, Pretear, Skip Beat and Tokyo Crazy Paradice... The only one I never considered reading canon pairing is Harry Potter. Mainly because I practically threw the book to the wall when I realized where Rowling was going with the Golden Trio. Gah!
And now that I've gotten this out of my system, would anyone be interested on teaching me how to deal with kitsunes... Cause that freaking muse is playing with me.
