Yeah, so....
On Monday we took Tuomas back to day care. He was still crawling on knees and hands and we were unsure if they'd take him. He was there a day and their big boss said that he should not come back until he's walking. This means I'll need to take sick leave from work, since Darling has his practical training for school, Grandma is working outside and Grandpa needs to work at farm.
I took Tuomas to doctor yesterday again. The lady twisted and turned and pressed his foot here and there but boy didn't shout out in pain. When asked where it hurts, he showed his sole of the foot. He still refused even to put it on the ground. The doctor then consulted the pediatrician on the central hospital and asked their opinion, since there is no sign of fracture or anything. And it's been over a week already. In the end we got painkiller regimen for couple days and if he's still not walking (or even trying) we'll go for new x-rays on Friday morning.
My personal opinion after yesterday is that he's just scared of the pain he had and doesn't want to walk because he thinks it MIGHT hurt. So now we need to work to get him over it and walking. Yesterday I got him to put the feet on the ground and made him stand on it too. No painful cries but he hold on to my neck for dear life. Later I cuddled him and told him I was so proud of him. I just hope we got him to walk somewhat before weekend.... cause I'm not fond of idea of staying on sick leave for a longer time, because it affects my pay quite some much.
Anyway, my boss was very understanding when I told her that I might need to take sick leave... "this is just something you can't help" she said. Though I know it will affect my "record" in the eyes of bigger bosses. I do hope it doesn't need to go that far, but I'm prepared.
Wish us luck!
On brighter note, my sister and father are coming to visit next Saturday. Yay!!!!!
