Oh my!
Today turns out to be an extremely lucky day for me! I mentioned that I had tried looking for MDB mask in Cherry Blossom for the longest time ever. And smelly wwe, who happened to be a guardian store, spotted a box!!! I got her call whilst on the bus home and told her to buy on my behalf. :D can't wait to get my hands on it now!
My sister took one of my red wine masks to try today and said it was fab. Smells really nice as well. So...I am gonna try one later! Geh. Too busy on weekends to useeee but I did try my covermark foundation sample and made comparisons with my MAC's. :D and I love my sis's NYX eye shadow trio in TS3 Nude, Taupe, Dark Brown. The colors are so very nice. Been using it like crazy and am ignoring the rest of my shadows (with the exception of Stila's because I didn't have the heart to swatch such pretty palettes). -_-
How did I get covermark's foundation sample?? My company happened to be located beside covermark's distributor and I know one of the ladies working there (she's a pro at make up I tell you! I love all her looks!). I met her outside the corridor last week and she gave me a sample quart (enough for 2-3 full face applications) to try. The product is called Covermark Moisture Veil LX to be exact. That sample I received, is the same as the ones given out on fr3b in March and includes: 1 Covermark Moisture Veil LX Sample Shade: MO 20 and 1 Covermark Moisture Veil LX Sample Shade: MN 30. I tried MO 20 and told my sis to try MN 30 (or MO 20 if she wants to). Lo and behold!! I find the foundation to have a really smooth texture under both artificial and natural light. My MAC, on the other hand, looks smooth under artificial room lighting but very flaky under natural light although I had buff both foundations onto my face evenly. -_- I even took extra effort to smooth out MAC's because I knew about the flaky problem. Is it just me or does this happen to others who used that foundation?? Gotta buzz ww on it. I think she uses MAC's foundation (remember seeing one on her desk sometime back). Could be just my problem but still..this flaky bit doesn't happen when I use power foundations from other brands. I can't really comment on the coverage right now. Haven't put it through maximum tests as yet. :D but I like not looking flaky under natural light.
Right, there are many hypes and raves about covermark's foundation (the coverage, technology etc), so much so that I feel like getting the actual product already! =D It costs more expensive than my MAC and Bobbi Brown foundations but if it works better, then I will definitely invest in it. Foundation is most important tool on my vanity shelf because it covers 85% of my face! I can go anywhere with a flawless looking skin, even if I didn't have blush / eye shadows / lipstick on. XD We shall see!
Am gonna use it again tomorrow for second round of testing.
