Hey all!
A friend of mine is registered with the Arthritis Society to raise funds, train and participate in a marathon on their behalf. Last year, he successfully reached his goals in both his fund raising for and COMPLETION of the marathon (!!!) and he couldn't have done it without the support of awesome people like YOU (us!)!
Here's where you big-hearted and tremendously cool people on my friendslist come in: He's planning on participating in the 2009 Walt Disney World Marathon this coming January and needs just a little more help in reaching his entry-level goal. If any of you very awesome people could spare some change (the amount doesn't matter - EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS! - $5.00, $10.00, $2.00, whatever you're comfortable with, I know the economy is a little tight right now!), you can follow this link:
http://www.arthritis.ca/joints/Ontario/brendanpayne and make an online donation.
If you know anyone with arthritis, and/or if you're like me, and worried that the old fingers are going to eventually become arthritic from all this computering, why not donate a few dollars to help find the cure? Or, if you know other people who might be interested, point them to his website so they can help the Arthritis Foundation help us all?
As an added incentive, if 10 people from livejournal donate, I'm going to donate an extra $25.00 to his cause. Because that's how fund raising works, right? Wouldn't be the same without a challenge to rise to! :D
So, come on, LJ peeps, with your help, we can help make a difference in the lives of those affected by arthritis!
Thank you, and I love you all!
