And I Don't Know Where To Look
Finially finished school - hurrah. This year was exhausting. Even with the assessments and extra reading we have these hols are going to be so relaxing and fun.
Managed to get tonsilitis over the past couple of days, so now I'm on medication that makes me terribly exhausted and no fun at all. Should be over the sleeping thing soon, and until then I'm living on dvds and napping most of the day. Watched Transamerica today and for a lot of it I wanted to cry. Really liked it though. I recommend that anyone who hasn't seen it do so soon, it's one of those films that makes you feel, not just think.
Mama got transferred to a permanent position yesterday, which is both good and bad. It's not at the school she wanted (where all her friends are and where she's comfortable - Pottsville) it's a new school that she hasn't taught at before (South Tweed). They're giving her the top class though, and the principal seems thrilled to have her so that's something. She'll do well there, and it means we as a family have so much more security and so many more doors are opened for us. It's not gonna be as hard as it has been and we're all happy about that.
Dad's stopped working for the Christmas break, so he's home with us. Gives his back time to get better and time to enjoy with us.
My uncle, aunt and cousin are arriving from Newcastle tomorrow and it's rather exciting, cos I haven't seen them for a long time. We're getting photos with Santa, which is kind of a drag but it's officially the last year so we'll make it fun.
I'm missing Andrew a bit a lot. Can't wait to see him next month at my bday. I need to organise that properly too, huh.
Aaaaaand, I think that's about it. Oh, and we've got curbs and gutering and a footpath outside my house now. We're getting new grass and a driveway too, from the council. I feel so civilised now :P
