I haven't yet decided how much of a part his gran is going to play yet, but I pretty much love her. Though she is more meddlesome than the scooby gang. She just has his best interests at heart.

I always wondered how those two met so the flashback was fun and well placed in the story. Surely Ethan and Giles will have another epic fall out. Ethan just can't be helpful for too long. Looking forward to the next installment. :)

Yes, their relationship does tend to be rather rocky. I'm glad you liked the flashback, that was probably the part I was most concerned about. But I thought it captured the different aspect of their personalities that would have made them fast friends.
