Hello Darlings at Summer of Giles!
Betcha you're surprised to see a post here at summer_of_giles since it's not summer yet! I just thought I'd take a second and let you all know what was happening with the comm (and hopefully give you something to look forward to).
- We have a new co-mod! After months of begging and pleading, elizabuffy has finally agreed to make her behind the scenes help official. Since she was the one I ran to last year to help me with SOG, I figured there's no better person to make sure we're doing well this year.
- Part of the reason why EB is coming on as mod is that I will be in Japan for part of the SOG posting dates - but I'll still be reading, since they have the internet over there!
- We're definitely going to have a SOG this year! Even if I'm the only one posting! (ok, I know that won't be the case). I just wanted to reassure every one, in case you were worried, that yep, we're totally going, and going strong for a second year.
- Speaking of that, the sign-up dates are going to be a little different this year. This time you'll have an entire month to sign up. Sign-up dates will go from April 15th, 2007 - May 15th, 2007.
- However, posting dates will remain the same June 1st, 2007 - July 31st, 2007 - so keep your calendar open!
