Favorite Giles Moments (Season 3, Part b)
Oh Giles. It's that time again. The time to celebrate some of your best sarcastic looks and angry fencing foil tossings!! Come, enjoy with us, the Giles of the second half of Season 3!!
PIC 24: WESLEY'S ARRIVAL
The arrival of the rival! Giles' expressions in these scenes are priceless. Priceless. And it's easy to fall in love with him all over again because he's being ousted by this stick in the mud (not that we don't love Wes, because, really, we do, but he's SUCH a priss when he first shows up... it's great!)
PIC 25: A SLAYER, HER WATCHER, AND THE NEW GUY
hehehehehe. Look at Wesley trying to gang up on them! He may be taller than them both, but ... Giles & Buffy SO have the advantage!

Sorry, you've been deluged with all of these pics of this one scene. But... this is the last one, promise. Just... LOOK AT THAT CUTENESS! Buffy's pouty lip! Giles' unrepentant chin! The two troublemakers are back together and going to defy Wes at every step. Actually, we think this is the moment when Buffy's taking about getting a cookie as a reward (one of our other favorite lines!) but still... SO CUTE!

And... the angst meter comes RIGHT back. It's never fun to be stuck in the middle.

This is as close as we could get to finding the "head, meet tree" moment that's clear-ish. Buffy, you rascal, you just hammered home to us exactly what Giles and Joyce were doing on that squad car! HEEE!

And here we go with our very own Odd Couple ... of sorts. But they're so cute, even when Giles is so obviously trying to control his urge to throw Wesley up against a wall and Wesley is being all nitpicky.

Pretty men in pretty tuxes! We've had the pleasure of Giles in a dark suit before (in Homecoming... you remember it in your head even if we didn't have a cap for it here), but ... there's something just wonderful about truly formal wear. And blueberry metaphors.

He slices, he dices, he reads the paper! Or at least he has a conversation with Buffy while fending off advances *hee* from Wesley, and checking the obits. Multitaskers are hot.
