so instead of studying for midterms, i've been crying about scottie pippen.
"You've given me everything I could ever ask for," Pippen told the fans at the United Center. "I'll never forget what you have done for me, and what I was able to do for you."
"It was all for the good, and I learned a lot along the way,'' Pippen added. "You made me understand what it really means to love Chicago.''
they retired his jersey yesterday. number 33. in elementary we used to write our favorite bulls player's numbers on our hands for good luck. yeah, we thought we were pretty cool. for awhile, along with the rest of the world i was 23 (michel jordan) but scottie pippen eventually changed that.
one time i was crying at a bulls game b/c they lost and everyone was yelling, i must of been about 5, and he came up to me and held my face and said "dont cry, i'll win tomorrow just for you". of course i stopped crying b/c, holy shit it was scottie pippen. but how nice is that?
watching him play, along with mj and dennis rodman, and even Longley and Kucok was like you were watching genius's. they played with their heads, blowing your mind after every play. it was so nice to see him with his family so happy yesterday.
when you've watched a sport like that with a team like that in a city like that, you never forget the passion. i'm glad i got to live through that :) thus, i am sad like an idiot b/c i miss it :(
sry for the random random post, but i thought everyone should know that 33 should be everyone's lucky number this week :)
love love love.
